Zhou Kesong, male, professor-level senior engineer, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, doctoral supervisor, former dean of Guangzhou Research Institute of Nonferrous Metals. Graduated from Tsinghua University in 1965, and engaged in the research of material surface technology at the State University of New York from 1980 to 1982. Professor Zhou Kesong has been mainly engaged in the research of surface engineering such as thermal spraying, thin film and laser for more than 30 years. He has been engaged in low-pressure plasma spraying, thermal spraying technology instead of electroplating hard chromium, high-performance thin film and thermal spraying and laser composite technology. Many pioneering work has been done, and a number of technologies have been successfully applied to aviation, steel, packaging and printing, nuclear energy and other national economic sectors. Cultivate and organize a team that can not only complete important national research topics, but also engineer scientific research results. Has undertaken and presided over more than 40 national "973" plan projects, "863" plan projects and provincial and municipal projects. He has won 1 second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, 3 first prizes of provincial and ministerial level, 9 second prizes, and 1 first prize of Guangzhou City. In 1993, he received a special government allowance from the State Council. In 2001, he was rated as a national outstanding scientific and technological worker by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology. He has successively served as the executive director of the China Nonferrous Metals Society, the executive director of the China Surface Engineering Association, the executive director of the China Materials Society and the deputy director of the Thermal Spray Association. He has edited and edited three books, and published more than 200 papers in domestic and foreign journals.
